How far in advance do I need to book? Can I have the same sitter for multiple days? My child has a 102 degree fever and can't go skiing. Can you provide us with a babysitter? How far in advance do I need to book? The EARLIER the BETTER! The earlier you book, the better we can meet your needs and guarantee you a babysitter. We will always do everything we can to accommodate you, however we can not guarantee last minute appointments. Depending on the season, you should try to book two weeks to a month in advance.
Can I have the same sitter for multiple days? We understand that it's easier for everyone (parents, children, and sitter) to use one sitter, and we will do everything we can to make that happen. You can help us help you by making reservations well in advance of the time you need a sitter. We recommend making reservations at least two weeks in advance, and a month in advance of holidays.
My child has a 102 degree fever and can't go skiing. Due to liability issues, we cannot sit for sick children. In addition, we need to protect our sitters from getting sick themselves.
I filled out your online form to book a sitter. Am I guaranteed one? If we are fully booked for the time you requested, we will notify you as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will send you a confirmation of your reservation. A sitter is confirmed to you upon receipt of your deposit.
How old are your sitters and what are they like? All of our sitters are at least 21 years old, though we have sitters of all ages. A majority of our sitters are in their mid-20's. Our sitters are nurses, preschool teachers, lifeguards, ski instructors, nannies, day care instructors, etc. All of our sitters are wonderful individuals with a specific interest in working with kids.
What is your cancellation policy? The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations within 7 days of a scheduled appointment. Cancellations within 4 hours of the start of an appointment or client no-shows will be charged the 4 hour minimum.
We take a deposit on your credit card when you set up the appointment (your deposit goes toward your total). At the conclusion of the appointment you may pay your sitter the balance in cash, by check or by credit card. Checks should be made payable to your sitter. Pricing already includes a 5 percent discount for cash and check payments. Credit card payments will be adjusted accordingly.
Tips are not mandatory, however they are greatly appreciated and go exclusively to your sitter. If you were satisfied with your sitter, a gratuity of 15-20 percent would be appropriate; of course the amount should reflect your level of satisfaction.
Our rates include everything except parking fees at your location, if any. Sitters are responsible for their own transportation expenses and meals. Off-site activity fees and gratuity are optional expenses. |
