How far in advance do I need to book? Can I have the same sitter for multiple days? My child has a 102 degree fever and can't go skiing. Can you provide us with a babysitter? I filled out your online form to book a sitter. Am I guaranteed to have one? How old are your sitters and what are they like? What is your cancellation policy?
How far in advance do I need to book? The EARLIER the BETTER! The earlier you book, the better we can meet your every need and guarantee that we can find you a babysitter. We will always do everything we can to accommodate you, however we can not guarantee last minute appointments. Depending on the season, you should try to book at least 2 weeks to a month in advance.
Can I have the same sitter for multiple days? We do everything we can to meet your requests. If appointments are made far enough in advance then there should be no problem finding the same sitter. For last minute requests, however, it can be a bit trickier to find a sitter who is available for multiple days. We understand that it is easier for the children and for the parents to get comfortable with the same sitter over a period of time instead of multiple sitters, thus we will do what we can to accommodate you.
My child has a 102 degree fever and can't go skiing. Unfortunately, we do not sit for sick children. Babysitting for sick children can be a major liability. In addition, we need to protect our sitters from getting sick themselves.
I filled out your online form to book a sitter. Am I guaranteed to have one? If we are fully booked, we will notify you as soon as possible. If you are booking far enough in advance you should be set. We will send you a reservation confirmation within 24 hours. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours please contact our office.
How old are your sitters and what are they like? All of our sitters are at least 21 years of age, though we have sitters of all ages. A majority of our sitters are in their mid-20's. We have a range of sitters including nurses, preschool teachers, lifeguards, ski instructors, nannies, day care instructors, etc. All of our sitters are wonderful individuals who have specific interests in kids.
What is your cancellation policy? The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations within 7 days of your first scheduled appointment. Cancellations within 4 hours of the start of the appointment or client no-shows will be charged the 4 hour minimum.
We take a deposit on your credit card when you set up the appointment which will go towards your total. At the time of the appointment you can pay the sitter the balance in cash or by check. You also have the option of putting the whole thing on your credit card, however, we will charge a 5% handling fee when the entire amount is paid to Resort Sitters.
Tips are not mandatory, however they are greatly appreciated by your sitter. If you were satisfied with your sitter, it would be an appropriate gesture to reward him or her with a gratuity. Typical gratuities range from 15% to 20%, however the amount should reflect your level of satisfaction.
Our rates include everything except parking fees at your location, if any. Sitters are responsible for their own transportation expenses and meals. Off-site activity fees and gratuity are optional expenses. |
